Laurent Mazaré

Laurent is the Chief Technology Officer at Kyutai, an open-science research lab launched one year ago to advance and democratize artificial intelligence. Before co-founding Kyutai, Laurent spent nearly 15 years in the trading industry, first at Goldman Sachs, then at Jane Street, working as both a software developer and quantitative researcher, where he focused on developing new modeling techniques.

Laurent studied mathematics and computer science at École Polytechnique and earned a PhD at the intersection of cryptography and formal methods. Over the years, he has also made significant open-source contributions, including two of the most widely used machine learning libraries for Rust.
